Our History
VietMerry was founded in June 2025 as Merryfoods’ new strategic hub in Vietnam. Established to drive the next era of growth in seafood and fruit processing, VietMerry is both a continuation and a bold step forward in a journey that began more than fifty years ago.
This journey started in 1969, when Merryfoods was founded in Seoul as a pioneer in the global trade of processed foods. The company was officially incorporated in 1976 and soon became a trusted exporter of canned and frozen fruits and seafood to the United States and Europe. In the early 2000s, Merryfoods expanded into China, operating joint-venture factories for tuna processing and fruit cup packaging from 2003 to 2018—each the first of their kind in the industry.
